Police have received a report over a cat abuse cat at Pintas Kalui 1, Seberang Jaya. The report was lodged by a 30-year-old technician, who was sitting inside a hut with a friend at Block B1 of the flats, when the incident occurred about 1.20pm.
According to his report, the woman was complaining about several cats defecating in front of her house, prior to the incident. She took out a metal rod from her car and hit two cats, which his friend was feeding.
The incident causes one of the cats, believed to be pregnant died, while another kitten was injured in its mouth. The case is now handled by the DVS, which has opened up an investigation paper under Section 29 (1) (e) of the Animal Welfare Act 2015 for causing unnecessary pain or suffering to an animal.
