Many residents were unable to salvage their vehicles and the road leading into the village could only be accessed by boat. The village's community management council head, Azmi Basiran said almost all the villagers were relocated to a temporary evacuation centre at SK Batu 10, Skudai.
Besides that, this was the worst flood in 15 years as it affected a majority of 170 houses as the last time an equally worse flood affected the village was in 2006.
