RIYADH - Saudi Arabia has extended flight restrictions and postponed its border opening date from March 31 to May 17 due to delays in the delivery of the Covid-19 vaccine to the country, authorities reported yesterday.
The Saudi Arabian Interior Ministry's announcement was made a few weeks after the country's government agreed to open its land, sea, and air border gates for aviation purposes following the Covid-19 case.
The latest decision was made based on a statement by Saudi Arabia's health minister which revealed that the Covid-19 vaccine supplier failed to comply with the delivery date of the drug.
