Pas has endorse Barisan Nasional deputy chairman Datuk Seri Mohamad Hassan's call to open the coalition's doors to all political parties in the country. Pas vice-president Datuk Mohd Amar Nik Abdullah said the policy if implemented, would be similar the approach adopted by the Islamic party in foresting political pacts.
Mohd Amar also expressed hope that his party would not lock horns with BN, Perikatan Nasional in the next general election. Mohamad Hassan was reported to have proposed for BN to be inclusive and accept any party willing to join its fold. However, a consensus on the matter must be reached among its component parties Umno, MIC, MCA and Parti Bersatu Rakyat Sabah.
