Critics Choice Award: Netflix's Ozark and The Crown lead TV nominations

Dramas Ozark and The Crown, as well as their streaming platform Netflix, topped the TV nominations for the 26th Critics Choice Awards.


The Critics Choice Association announced the series nominees on Monday, and Ozark and The Crown led the pack with six nods apiece. Both will vie for Best Drama, while Ozark's Jason Bateman and Laura Linney are up for Best Actor in a Drama Series and Best Actress in a Drama Series, respectively. Tom Pelphrey, Julia Garner, and Janet Mcteer all scored nominations for their supporting roles as well.

The Crown's Josh O'Connor is nominated for Best Actor in a Drama Series, while Olivia Colman and Emma Corrin will compete for Best Actress in a Drama Series. Tobias Menzies and Gillian Anderson were also nominated for their supporting roles.


The two series helped Netflix garner the most nominations with 26, and HBO/HBO Max was close behind with 24. Four shows also had strong showings with five nominations each: Lovecraft Country (HBO), Mrs. America (FX), Schitt's Creek (Pop), and What We Do in the Shadows (FX). Better Call Saul (AMC) and The Plot Against America (HBO) earned four nominations.
